Kempas is a very durable, reddish brown hardwood from South East Asia. As Kempas is a species prone to splintering, some small splinters may be present at the joints of a new Kempas floor. These will be removed by normal use. Kempas will tend to darken after installation. It will start pink to light red and turn to deep red over the first months of installation.
